process
Manigian employs an improvisational process, balancing design, craftsmanship and wood's natural qualities. The
dialogue between these elements results in furniture that is spare but which quietly reveals a richness of detail.
Woods are hand-picked from small millers, and designed and developed using traditional hand-joinery with an
oil-rubbed finish.
The work is a collaboration with wood--letting its nature and inherent form determine the final object.
Each piece has its own personality and identity, making every object unique.
